Committees are formed and directed by council members to fulfill the objectives of the SILC. The full council oversees these committees.

Through these Committees, the council is directed in advocating systems change, community outreach workshops that focus on reaching out to consumers in rural areas of Arizona, statewide conferences to increase areas of possibility for consumers, and public awareness expansion and development of independent living programs.
